This is, of course, our very own cycle. It is really a little early to give it a name but I am leaning towards a title that reflects both the political and technical strength of the United States since World War II. Let's call it the Global Power Cycle. Beginning with the birth of our version of the idealist generation, the Baby Boomers (approximately 1943), and continuing to this very day. As the boomers approached adulthood, the '60s became our spiritual event and even now the young civic generation (the oldest of which are approximately 17-18 yr. old), are gathering the strength of character from the adult boomers to take on the coming secular event due in approximately 2010 to 2020. Are there some millinials out there (born since 1982) to point the way?
